Living Well with Low Vision Partners with Enablemart to Support Growing Community of People with Low Vision.
Visitors to Living Well with Low Vision, lowvision.advocacy.preventblindness.org, will now be able to purchase low vision aids and products through Enablemart.com, a premier provider of products for people with low vision. Enablemart will donate 5% of every purchase made through lowvision.advocacy.preventblindness.org to Prevent Blindness, the nation’s oldest voluntary eye health organization.
Prevent Blindness launched Living Well with Low Vision to address the needs of individuals with low vision and their caregivers. The website was specifically developed from the point of view of individuals facing the challenges of vision loss. Patient advocate and low vision educator Dan Roberts, M.M.E., serves as editor-in-chief for the online resource.
“Nearly three million Americans have low vision,” said Hugh R. Parry, president and CEO of Prevent Blindness. “We thank Enablemart for addressing the needs of the growing low vision community and for their support of our organization and our efforts.”
“Enablemart has long standing commitment of serving people with low vision,” said Susan Rogers, President of School Health Corporation, the parent company of Enablemart. “This partnership is a great marriage of technology and advocacy and we are excited to work toward making a positive and lasting contribution to the community.”
